Throughout September, we’ll be collecting a different needed item each week at Hope Soap for our local houseless community.

On September 27th, Nathan Walden Day in Cuyahoga Falls, we’ll bring everything we’ve collected together for a community giveback event. We’ll be serving a hot meal and handing out the donated items directly to those in need.

September 1st–6th, we’re collecting NEW MEN’S SOCKS. We’re especially in need of larger men’s socks, and we are not able to accept used socks.

HELP US REACH OUR GOAL OF 500 PAIRS OF SOCKS!

Donations can be dropped off at Hope Soap during our regular open hours.

WHY WE GO OUT
Most people never think about what it takes to survive outside in the cold. But for our unhoused neighbors, every single day is a marathon — often 10–12 miles on foot, in worn‑out shoes, soaked socks, and freezing temperatures.

That kind of constant movement destroys feet.
Frostbite. Open wounds. Infections that can turn life‑threatening fast.
And all of it happens long before the temperatures hit zero.

This is why we go out.
This is why we carry boots, socks, gloves, hats, and warming gear.
This is why your support matters.

Because when someone is fighting to stay alive, the right gear isn’t a luxury —
it’s survival.
