My late MIL, Ma, LOVED a good cucumber salad. Didn’t matter what time of the year it was, that is what she was bringing to the party or the holiday dinner.

A friend, i met through my pantry, that has donated probably most donations I’ve put out (😇 you know who you are), brought me produce the other day.

I stared at it while i was washing it, trying to figure out what to do with it.

Then the “holiday cucumber salad” from Ma, popped into my brain. So, it wasn’t exact; but i made it for her.

I knew it wasn’t going to be a FAVE.. right?

Wrong.

Just as i was going to head to Grace Park, a woman who runs her own mental health facility, commented that she had some ladies that would like the salads.

We met. Had a quick little conversation, and there’s a reason i made that salad. Because it went to a group of women who “grew up” on that type of “salad”. IYKYK. ♥️

My heart is full. I love you, Ma. I miss you. And, thank you. ✨
