COMING SOON LOVE TO SEE YOU GUYS on May 7th!!

Sometimes, a middle schooler with a camera can change a community narrative faster than a 100-page city report.

When 50 middle schoolers gathered for Camp What If: Akron in 2025, a local shooting was fresh on their minds. While the news cycle treated them like statistics, students like Allie, Alesi, Kori, Providence, and Darrian decided to pick up the lens and rewrite the story.

Their documentary, "Talking Kids Off The Trigger," isn’t a passive lecture—it’s a youth-led tool designed to reach peers before they ever pick up a weapon. They interviewed leaders, navigated a $0 budget, and proved that middle schoolers are the directors of our present, not just passive observers of it.

See the film premiere on Thursday, May 7th.
