I’d like to throw out a huge Thank You and Kudos to Lucas Plowman and Michael LeMay who stopped to help a fellow racer who was down. Enduros can be tough to get to down riders quickly and it’s great to see our riders helping each other out. Thanks again guys and we all truly appreciate you looking out for each other!

Thanks to all that came out for the 2026 Akeley Enduro! I hope everyone enjoyed the event and enjoyed some challenging terrain. It was awesome to watch our youth riders rip up some big sand hills and navigate the rock gardens.

Congratulations to Jack Maki for earning his name on Paul’s Ax again! Also a congrats to Eric Niedzielski for Overall A, Rhett Reed for Overall B and Mason Mowry for Overall C!

A big thank to all of the Paul Bunyan Forest Riders MC members for helping with this event and thank you to Stompin' Grounds Lodge & Camping for hosting us again this year!

Update for the Akeley Youth Enduro on Saturday:

50cc Race:
Will start at 1pm, riders meeting at 12:50pm
Race on special use trail off lower blue, 1/4 mile east from Martineau Trailhead
Race will be Closed Course format with kids racing 1 lap at a time leaving on whole minutes coming back to start to pit, get a drink, snack, before heading out again.
They will do 6 laps of the course in total.

Keith Wiger did some dirt work on the 50cc course to make it more accessible for little bikes with little wheels. It's looking fantastic.

65/85 Race:
Will start at 3pm, riders meeting at 2:50pm at Martineau Trailhead
Race will leave from South end of and finish at North end of Martineau Trailhead.
Race will be Closed Course format with kids racing 1 lap at a time leaving on whole minutes coming back to start to pit, get a drink, snack, before heading out again.
65cc, 85 Junior, and Girls will do 3 laps
85 Senior will do 4 laps

They will have 2 hours to start their final lap, if they are really struggling on the course we will make suggestions they don't start right before the 2 hour mark because we don't want to be out there all evening holding up scoring and trophies, but will not prevent someone from starting.

The 65/85 course is a great sample of everything Akeley has to offer. Tight, fast and flowy, small bit of clearcut, couple awesome hills, some tree roots and rocks to keep it interesting. Perfect amount of rain this morning, no dust, almost zero mud.

Paul Schommer did an awesome job with others prepping the course.

Sign up and information packets are at Stomping Grounds in the bar. Plan ahead to grab your packets before heading to the race start!

We look forward to hosting the kids for an awesome race tomorrow!

The trails on the west side of HWY64 are looking great! Racers get excited, these trails are going to be looking perfect come race weekend (August 8th and 9th).

The majority of the trails on the west side have been mowed and face slappers removed. Thank you everyone that came out to help over trail blitz weekend!

Highlighted in yellow is the latest and greatest. As always, please reach out if you would like to help clean trails. We will start working on the east side of HWY 64 next.

Thank you!

Mowing/trimming update. Highlighted in yellow is what has been mowed and face slappers removed! It’s thick out there!
