Today is Law Enforcement Memorial Day, a day set aside to honor and remember the law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Today, we pause to reflect on their courage, their service, and their dedication to protecting others, even at the cost of their own lives.

But remembrance doesn’t stop today. We honor our fallen brothers and sisters not only on this day, but every day. Their legacy lives on through the continued service of those who still stand the watch.

Never forgotten. Always honored.

The good ones always leave us too soon.

ACLEBA was created in the wake of Steve’s loss to ensure his life and service would never be forgotten, and to support the family he loved so deeply. We believed our purpose was to be there for Kristi and Cassie. Over time, we came to understand that they were just as much there for us.

Kristi’s support of local law enforcement was constant and sincere. She showed up—not out of obligation, but out of care. Through memorials, fundraisers, golf tournaments, and countless moments in between, she became woven into the lives of so many. Her presence brought comfort, her words brought understanding, and her kindness left a lasting mark.

We will miss her warmth, her compassion, and the meaningful conversations we shared. Though her loss is deeply felt, the love and support she so freely gave will continue to guide and inspire us. Her legacy lives on in the hearts she touched and the community she strengthened.

Celebrate the life of Kristi Sandberg and join others in sharing memories, stories, and condolences.
