What IS 211? 211 is an easy to remember three digit number that connects you to resources available in your area. Lets say you su

ddenly lost your job. Rent is due, utilities are due, and you need food, but you lost your income. What would you do if you've never been in this situation before?

211 may be able to connect you with agencies in your community that help pay rent and utility bills. They may be able to connect you to food pantries and clothing closets. They may even help you find your next job. There are many basic human services that may be available in your area that you never knew about because you never needed them. 211 bridges the gap between what you need and what is available near you. Help Line 211 is a United Way of Aiken, United Way of Edgefield, and United Way Association of South Carolina partner agency that serves all of South Carolina 24/7. You may call, chat, or visit our online database at sc211.org free anytime. Help Line 211 is the ONLY 211 service in South Carolina.

This year marks the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army, Navy, and Marine Corps — the first three branches of our military. From the earliest days of our democracy to today, brave men and women have served to protect our freedom and uphold the Constitution.

As we celebrate Veterans Day, we honor all who have worn the uniform and the families who’ve stood beside them. To all veterans, thank you for your service!

REMINDER: State offices are closed today, November 11, due to the holiday schedule for state agencies.

📣 Did you know? Donations to national organizations like the ASPCA don't go to your local shelter. 🙀

Many animal lovers unknowingly donate to national groups thinking they're supporting animals in their own community. This common mistake means local shelters miss out on vital funding needed for food, medical care, and daily operations.

Learn more about this misconception how you can make sure your generosity directly impacts animals right here at home. 💙🐶🐱

A common misconception about domestic violence is that it only impacts women. 29.2% of men experience domestic violence in the state of South Carolina, with the strong possibility of those statistics being higher.

It’s important to validate and support ALL victims as they struggle with safely leaving. If a close friend disclosed dealing with abuse, would you know how to support them?
