Families of transgender youth impacted by clinic closures can now access resources from the Trans Youth Emergency Project. We are deeply disappointed to see clinics in access states across the country stopping gender-affirming care for youth in response to Trump’s Executive Order. We know many families in these safe states – as well as those who traveled from states with care bans – are scrambling to find new providers due to these closures.

While some clinics are stopping care, we want you to know that there are many providers who are refusing to overcomply with the Executive Order, which threatened to remove federal funding from providers who offer gender-affirming care to youth under 19. In response to the closures, some providers are stepping up to open their doors to these families. Many providers will continue to offer gender-affirming care for youth under 19, and we can help you connect with these providers. Anyone who has been impacted by a clinic closure can now access patient navigation to a new provider and a one-time travel grant of $500 from the Trans Youth Emergency Project. If you live in a state that has banned gender-affirming care for youth, these travel grants are renewable four times per year. To learn more and fill out our intake form, go to
