🎣 Gone Fishing… for Trash! 🗑️🍺

While emptying one of our monofilament recycling tubes, KACB found plenty of fishing line…and a few beer cans 😤
🚫🎣 Friendly reminder: Monofilament recycling tubes are for fishing line ONLY — they’re NOT mini trash cans!

Recycling fishing line keeps this non-biodegradable material out of our waterways and landfills, where it can persist for up to 600 years, helping protect wildlife and giving the material a chance at a new life. 🌎💚

So please fish responsibly, recycle responsibly, and leave the beer cans at home (or at least in the proper bin)!

Thanks to Wagener-Salley High School for hosting a PalmettoPride Litter Free Game during the 25-26 school year.

South Carolina high schools — are your clubs or organizations looking to raise money this year while keeping your campus beautiful? If so, PalmettoPride's Litter-Free Games is the program for you! 🏈

Here's how it works: pick an athletic event, partner with PalmettoPride to make it litter-free, and give your students the chance to earn funds for their organization while learning real leadership skills along the way. We'll provide the signage, activity ideas, and supplies — your students bring the school spirit.

Teachers — help us get the word out. Share this with your student organizations and let's kick off the new school year with a cleaner campus and a little extra cash for a good cause. Link to learn more and get started is in the comments! 👇
