Paws Onward, Inc is a volunteer 501(c)(3) non profit corporation. Paws Onward Inc is organized to assist with funding for care and treatment of animals in need of rescue from local shelters. Paws Onward Inc is a volunteer rescue based in Aiken SC. We assist people that need to rehome their pets, mainly cats and dogs. We do have a foster base who assist in the transition of the pet prior to relocat
ion to pre-approved homes. Paws Onward Inc partner with reputable rescues that are no kill and that we have had a long working relationship with. We may also be able to find a pre-approved home in SC. Paws Onward Inc is non judgemental when it comes to families needing to rehome their pets. For whatever reason that may be, it remains private with Paws Onward Inc and the family. An initial meet and greet is arranged to see if Paws Onward Inc can assist. We cannot at this time, assist with aggressive dogs, reactive dogs or dogs that have a high prey drive, or animals with severe medical conditions. We cannot help dogs that are fear biters or have aggressive tendencies. We will cross post animals that are in need of medical care. We may not always be able to place the dog, but it is our goal to find a loving home so that the family pet does not have to go to any shelter and be subjected to the harsh reality of a rural shelter. We ask that the family ensure that the pet is up to date with their vaccinations and provide us with all the necessary medical information. This will expedite the rehoming process. Once the pet is in foster, the family will receive updates on the pet, when we get updates, the previous owners/families are updated, knowing that their pets are safe in their new homes. Paws Onward Inc also pulls dogs from local shelters in McDonough GA, Winder GA, Gordon GA and other shelters in GA that have been on the adoption floor for too long or are in danger of euthanasia.
