During pantry distribution on Thursday night, May 7th, a family arrived with a a LARGE donation for the food pantry. Their youngest son, Ethan, wore a Happy Birthday button. After confirming it was his birthday ( # 11), I wished him a “Happy Birthday” and hugged him as I thanked the family for the donation. His mom said Ethan had something to share.

Ethan explained that last month, God spoke to him during church and told him to collect money for his birthday this year to buy food for a local food pantry. He told his parents that afternoon and asked his mom to help him research local food pantries to find the ones which helped the most people each week. I had chills while Ethan was telling me this!

I asked Ethan’s mom what church they attended: Forward City Church in Columbia. (Note: The family lives in Aiken.) After giving the family a quick tour of the inside of the pantry and explaining how the distribution system worked, Ethan and his Mom indicated that they may come back this summer and volunteer!

God is so good! Thank you Ethan for listening when he spoke!

We are thrilled to announce that Inside Out Ministries is now accepting applications for student positions at Inside Out Recovery!

Inside Out Recovery is a long-term residential recovery program designed to support individuals struggling with substance abuse disorder and/or alcoholism. Our mission is simple: to meet each student where they are, provide for their needs, and walk alongside them as they work toward lasting change.

If you or someone you know could benefit from our program, we would love to connect. We are here to answer questions, offer support, and help individuals begin their journey to healing — from the inside out.

The Storehouse of Mercy will be open Thursday, January 22, from 4-7 PM to assist our clients in stocking up for the upcoming ice event. ****Remember, you can come ONCE per week to the Storehouse of Mercy to obtain food for your family.

We had a great little helper this morning at the food pantry helping sort fruit and vegetables. Can’t wait to see you guys tomorrow! We distribute boxes on Tuesday and Thursday from 4-7 PM. Our address is 2700 Whiskey Road, Aiken.
