The countdown is ON! In just 12 days, 33 deserving Veterans will board a plane and begin their journey to Washington, DC, with CSRA Honor Flight. 🇺🇸

As we enter the final days of preparation for our September 12, 2026 mission, we are getting ready for one of the most exciting parts of our preparations — packing the Veterans' backpacks! 🎒

Each Veteran will receive a backpack filled with items to make their day more comfortable, enjoyable, and memorable. These backpacks are one of the many ways we can show our Veterans just how much we appreciate their service and sacrifice.

🇺🇸 A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO MICHAEL GLEATON & MEDICINE MART! 🇺🇸

As we get closer to September 12, 2026, the excitement is building for CSRA Honor Flight’s first mission to Washington, DC. But behind every successful Honor Flight are dozens of people and businesses who quietly step forward to make sure our Veterans are cared for every step of the way.

Today, we want to recognize one of those very special supporters — Michael Gleaton, Pharmacist and Owner of Medicine Mart, with locations in Lexington and West Columbia.

Michael generously donated the vital medicines and supplies needed to complete our First Responder Kits for our upcoming mission. These kits will travel with us and help our medical and first responder teams be prepared to care for our Veterans throughout their journey.

For our 33 Veterans, this isn't simply a day trip. It is a journey filled with memories, emotions, and moments they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. Knowing that people like Michael are willing to step forward and help ensure their safety and well-being means more to us than we can adequately express.

Michael, thank you for supporting our Veterans. Thank you for supporting CSRA Honor Flight. And most importantly, thank you for understanding that taking care of those who served our country is a responsibility we all share. 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 A Special Thank You to Mission BBQ! 🇺🇸

CSRA Honor Flight would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to Mission BBQ for helping make our Veteran Orientation and Guardian Training event extra special!

Mission BBQ generously provided desserts and soft drinks for our veterans, guardians, volunteers, and guests. They also provided special gifts for each of our veterans, a thoughtful gesture that meant so much to everyone.

We especially want to thank Gina Goetschius of Mission BBQ, who is also one of our CSRA Honor Flight Guardians. Gina attended the event and personally brought all of the goodies from Mission BBQ. We are so grateful to have her as part of our Honor Flight family!

20 DAYS TO GO!

The excitement is building as CSRA Honor Flight gets closer and closer to Mission One on September 12, 2026!

Yesterday, we brought together all 33 of our Veterans and 32 of our 33 Guardians for our Veteran Orientation and Guardian Training Event. With our volunteers, medical team, photographer, flight captain, bus captains, and families all participating, we can truly see this mission coming together!

But our work isn't finished yet. ❤️🇺🇸

CSRA Honor Flight would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to Boca Grande Burritos for helping make our Veteran Orientation and Guardian Training Event such a success!

Yesterday, our 33 Veterans, Guardians, family members, volunteers, and CSRA Honor Flight team members enjoyed a wonderful meal catered by Boca Grande Burritos. From the professional service to the quality and presentation of the food, everything was outstanding and very well received by everyone in attendance.

We are grateful for the care and professionalism your team brought to our event. A gathering like ours takes the support of many people and businesses, and we truly appreciate Boca Grande Burritos for being part of this special day as we prepare to take our Veterans on their Honor Flight Mission to Washington, DC.

A Special Thank You to American Legion Post 7 🇺🇸

CSRA Honor Flight would like to extend a very special THANK YOU to American Legion Post 7 in Lexington, SC, for opening your doors to us yesterday for our Veteran Orientation and Guardian Training Event.

Your generosity went far beyond simply providing a place for us to meet. The members of Post 7 welcomed our Veterans, Guardians, families, and volunteers with open arms and provided volunteers who worked alongside our team throughout the entire event.

From setup before everyone arrived, assisting throughout the day, helping wherever needed, and staying afterward for cleanup, your volunteers were there every step of the way.

Because of your support, we were able to bring together all 33 of our veterans, 32 of our 33 Guardians, more than 20 CSRA Honor Flight volunteers, and members of our medical, photography, flight, and transportation teams in a wonderful facility and welcoming environment.

The hospitality and willingness to serve demonstrated by the members of American Legion Post 7 are a perfect example of what makes our community so special.

A Great Day for CSRA Honor Flight! 🇺🇸✈️

Yesterday was a very special day for CSRA Honor Flight as we gathered at American Legion Post 7 in Lexington, SC, for our Veteran Orientation and Guardian Training Event.

We are excited to share that all 33 of our veterans were in attendance, along with 32 of our 33 Guardians! 🇺🇸 That kind of participation says a lot about the excitement building for our September 12 Honor Flight to Washington, DC.

More than 20 dedicated volunteers came together to help make the day a success. We were also joined by members of our CSRA Honor Flight Medical Team, Photographer, Flight Captain, and Bus Captains, all working together to ensure our veterans will have a safe, meaningful, and memorable experience.

Many of our veterans were accompanied by family members, making the day even more special. It was wonderful to see so much support and excitement surrounding these 33 American heroes.

A special THANK YOU goes to Boca Grande Burritos of Columbia for providing lunch for everyone. The food was enjoyed by all and was a wonderful part of the day! 🌯

We are now just 20 days away from Mission One! The preparation is nearly complete, and our team is ready to honor these 33 veterans with the trip they so richly deserve.

🇺🇸 WE DID IT! — 33 WHEELCHAIRS FOR 33 VETERANS! 🇺🇸

CSRA Honor Flight supporters, YOU ANSWERED THE CALL!

We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we have received enough donations to purchase all 33 wheelchairs needed for our September 12, 2026 Honor Flight! 🎉🇺🇸

When we launched our Wheelchair Campaign, we knew our community would come through for our veterans—but the response has been truly overwhelming.

Because of YOU, every one of our 33 veterans will have a wheelchair available when needed as they travel to Washington, DC to visit the memorials built in their honor.

These wheelchairs are more than equipment. They represent comfort, dignity, safety, and our commitment to making this unforgettable day as special as possible for each veteran.
