I believe it would be short sighted to remove only power plants from Aiken County’s RUD zoning.
We should hold open community meetings, and have a mailer to people who own RUD zoned land, to see what other changes should be considered.

WE NEED THIS!!
This is an excellent way to protect our land. Properties become neighborhood, neighborhoods become larger and larger blocks of unified protected land.
Tryon and Landrum have two major trail networks totaling much more than 100 miles of trails. Landowners deed a part of their land as a right of way for the trails. In return…let’s just say it’s difficult to buy land on the trail systems and much more costly.

More good news: The County is working with the LS Power company to locate in an industrial park AND the map released yesterday does NOT show a possible location for a power plant.
