Community, connection, and a little workout fun! 🌸💪✨

The 74th Court had a wonderful morning at Kapahulu Center for Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaiʻi‘s Community Day, an event that brought together families, local businesses, and organizations for a morning of activities, games, and community fun!

The Court enjoyed welcoming and interacting with guests, exploring Kapahulu Center and their wellness and cultural arts tenants, and joining in on the day’s activities. We even got creative with Japanese calligraphy 🖌️ before putting ourselves to the test with a few exercises aboard the FitTruck Mobile Gym! 💪😆

Mahalo to Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaiʻi for inviting us to be part of a morning filled with new connections, new experiences, and lots of smiles! 🥰

Another bon dance in the books! 🏮🌸

The 74th Court spent the evening at the Waipahu Soto Zen Temple Taiyoji Bon Dance, helping at the CBF Search booth, making origami with keiki, and sharing more about Queen Contestant applications.

Of course, we couldn’t leave without dancing a few numbers around the yagura! 🪭✨

Grateful for another summer evening together and more special memories made as bon dance season slowly comes to an end. 💕

The 74th Court was invited to Gyotaku Japanese Restaurant to celebrate their 25th anniversary and meet with co-founders and co-owners Tom and Tony. Throughout the celebration, the Court welcomed guests and invited them to take part in the spirit of Tanabata by writing their wishes and hanging them on bamboo. 🎋

In keeping with the theme of wishes, we also had the pleasure of meeting James from Make-A-Wish Foundation. In celebration of their 25th anniversary, Gyotoku Restaurants is giving back to the community through a special donation to Make-A-Wish, helping bring meaningful wishes to life and making this milestone even more special. 💫

Another unforgettable moment was meeting a very special guest celebrating her 100th birthday! 🎂🌸 We were honored to say hello and wish her a very happy birthday as she celebrated such an amazing milestone surrounded by family and friends.

Congratulations to Tom, Tony, and the entire Gyotaku Restaurants ʻohana on 25 wonderful years of sharing Japanese cuisine in Hawaiʻi, giving back to the community, and creating a place where so many memories have been shared. Here’s to many more years of good food, special moments, and wishes coming true! ♥️
