💜International Epilepsy Day💜

🌟 Local Spotlight 🌟

Jordan, an 18 yr old young woman has had 36 seizures since her surgery on September 18th. This may sound like a lot of seizures yet when looking back to a year ago, during the same time frame, she had 67 seizures.

Back then her seizures were longer
Back then it took her longer to get back to base line
Back then it would take her days to recover after a seizure cluster

Jordan’s family knew going into the RNS surgery that they would probably not see results right away. They were aware that it would take time and agreed that even though seizure freedom is always the goal, seizure reduction was going to be okay for now.

It is still hard when Jordan has clusters like she did this weekend. She doesn’t know what the future will hold, yet her whole family focus on the positives.

Today her seizures are shorter
Today she returns to baseline quickly
Today she is taking a college class
Today she is interested in a service dog to support her independence

We will continue to fight for seizure freedom, We will continue to raise awareness about Epilepsy and we will hopefully make things better for those that come after us.

A major milestone was reached! 💟
One many Epileptics never see. Colin had his first clean EEG in Aug, and was given the OK by Dr to get his permit. 16 came this month and it will be a one step at a time process.
We know his status could change at anytime, but we hope these positive moments are the beginning of many more for his future.
