Please join us in welcoming Eli Cook, our new Chief Operations Officer, to the RVCC team!

And yes, it’s *that* Eli Cook, the blues/rock musician who grew up right here in Nelson County and has built a career performing and teaching both locally and nationally.

Eli brings a broad range of experience in marketing, networking, education, and operations, along with deep roots in our community. He’s also especially excited about growing RVCC’s arts and cultural programming.

We’re excited to have Eli on board and to see where his experience, creativity, and connection to Nelson County take us next.

RVCC hopes to host a series of live music performances in 2027. This would likely take place in the Lounge area, which holds about fifty people. The musical acts would be solo performers or small ensembles with an emphasis on acoustic-based instrumentation.

To accomplish this, we will need volunteers to assist with working the shows (door sales, bartending), booking the acts, and generally coming up with ideas to facilitate the best entertainment experience that we can.

Anyone interested in joining this new Music Committee should reach out to Eli at [email protected]
