❤️✅ A huge thank you to all who supported the Afton Historical Society so that we could get the lumber to replace the rotten stairs in our hill out back. 🥳
😎 A special thank you to 88 B.C. for being our lumber supplier (Shop Local).
😎 ....and to our amazing Afton Historical Society Board of Directors for volunteering the man labor and time to complete the project.

😎 Afton Historical Society will be OPEN today 10 am - 1pm.

Additionally -

1) Please remember that our communities Historical Society only lives through dontations and is completely volunteer run.
If you would like to send a donation you can mail it to: Afton Historical Society, PO Box 142, Afton, NY 13730 or deliver in person during open hours or by making an appointment.

2) The past year has brought much in regards to repairs needed to maintain the Historical Society - inside and out. Currently, the stairs in the back yard are getting their much needed repairs. If you remember, the stairs had been rotted out for many years. Repairs can only happen when donations to the Historical Society come in for support.

3) We will be having our yard sale on August 23rd and 24th. Please come by and show your support.
Yes, donations are accepted and appreciated !
The Order of the Eastern Star will also be having a basket raffle. Be sure to get your tickets also.

😮 There is still MUCH to do !

👉 Septic line repairs are complete.
👉 Roof repairs have begun,
👉 The interior wall still needs to be done
👉 We still need to correct the paint job on the house
👉 The stairs to the lower barn need complete replacement
👉 and we need a handicap ramp to the lower barn so that we can hold functions for our community there.

🙏 This is the current major repair list as we know it as of right now.

🤗 Please continue to buy raffle tickets, and sending donations. We have a long way to go still.
