FIRST ANNUAL COACHES RETREAT!

The Avengers Soccer Club is excited to invite you to our Avengers Coaches Retreat on June 9th from 5:30–8:00 PM at Western Wyoming Community College, Room 3650A.

This event is open to all current coaches, former coaches, aspiring coaches, and club administrators who are passionate about developing the soccer prorgam in Sweetwater County.

Our goal is to bring together coaches from every level of the game to begin creating a more unified approach to player development.

During the event, we will:
• Explore and discuss the U.S. Soccer Curriculum
• Work toward aligning player development from U4 through high school
• Develop a shared coaching philosophy and culture
• Brainstorm ideas to grow the game throughout Sweetwater County
• Build relationships and support systems among coaches across programs and age groups
• Create a stronger pathway for players and families in our community
Whether you coach recreational players, competitive teams, school programs, or are interested in coaching in the future, your voice and perspective are important. This retreat is an opportunity to collaborate, learn from one another, and help shape the future of soccer in our area.

We are excited to have your player join the SVSC Academy this summer!
Below is some important information and details regarding the SVSC Academy.



Location: Trainings are held at Grover Community Park, 275 Main St, Grover, WY 83122



Dates: 8 summer trainings held weekly on Mondays starting June 8th through July 27th, with the week of July 4th off.



Training Session Times: All Session will be at 6PM



Aims of Program:

The aim of the SVSC Academy is to create an environment that allows players to have fun while learning the fundamentals of soccer. Our focus is on individual technical development in a fun and safe environment. SVSC Academy is an exciting program based on what’s best for the players in this age range. The player’s individual skill development and enjoyment is at the heart of the program.

All players get experienced trainers from nationally-licensed soccer coaches, Robyn and Ryan Finch and their assistants. These trainings will serve as a supplemental program to city recreation soccer. In order to provide the most value and the best soccer experience possible for the future of soccer, we do not offer games as a part of our academy program. The SVSC Academy will give your athlete a jump start on proper technique that they will then be able to showcase and refine in their city recreation games.

Academy trainings will give your child a technical foundation for their soccer future in a low-pressure and fun environment with small-sided scrimmage experience (per USSF small-sided rules and regulations) that will maximize touches on the ball.



Cost:

There are two separate costs, but one charge. The first is to Wyoming Soccer Association (WSA). They charge $21 for each rec player. The second cost is the Star Valley Soccer Club Academy Player Fee of $49.00.



Each participant will receive:

A SVSC Academy T-shirt
Size 3 soccer ball

Due to low tournament participation numbers with the original summer season registration, we are adjusting our girls summer season to a local 6v6 format. The girls will participate in weekly 6v6 scrimmages, allowing them to get plenty of touches on the ball while continuing to develop their spacing, communication, and passing skills.

We are excited to offer this local option and look forward to a fun and developmental summer season. Registration is open until 5/31.

6V6 games will be held on Wednesdays between 6PM-8PM.

If there are girls in the U13–U15 age groups who would still like to participate in the offered tournaments, they may be able to join the boys U15 team. Please reach out if that is something your player would be interested in:

Yellowstone Cup (Rexburg, ID): June 11-13
Cache Valley Cup (Logan, UT): July 8-11
Park City Extreme Cup (Park City, UT): July 30-August 1

Hello SVSC Families,

We’re excited to introduce a summer soccer season this year for players currently in 7th–12th grade!

For 9th–12th graders, the summer season will replace the fall season.
Incoming 7th and 8th graders may still have the option to play in the fall Snake River League as usual.
