Affton Parents' Club - APC We love our kids. We love our district.

The Affton Parents' Club (APC) works in collaboration with the school district to ensure the needs of all Affton students are met. APC is dedicated to strengthening the relationship between Affton parents and schools, demonstrating the value of parental involvement to both the school and our community, and giving parents & care givers a place to gather for friendship and fun. APC spends the school year planning events and fundraisers that provide funds for things like school performances, Third Grade Olympics, Back 2 School Bash, playground equipment, scholarships and individual building and teacher needs which are not provided for in the regular budget.

🎙 Affton Home Team Spotlight - Rebecca Dedert

She's got 100s of games under her belt, and she's never missed one, but on Oct 25th she's getting a promotion from fan to starter! She's a kindergarten teacher at Mesnier Primary School, so she knows that everyone's a beginner at something, and she's ready to show her class that it's never to early to start. Ms. Dedert has already counted to 100 more times than she can remember, and now she's counting on a few buckets.

The Harlem Wizards might have the magic, but she has the biggest fan base!

📣 Affton Home Team Spotlight - Dr. Kevin Griffin

Dr. Griffin is the principal at Rogers Middle School - Affton, and his job is a juggling act: lunch duty, parent calls, and a hallway full of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders all at once. On October 25th he's juggling three balls and a roster spot! He's got a handle on the court, he's got a handle on the school, and he's the only player who can dribble, pass and keep three balls in the air at once.

The Harlem Wizards can disappear all they want, but this principal is always watching from the hall. And don't worry, he's not here to give anyone detention!

📣 Home Team Coach Introduction - Dr Travis Bracht

As the superintendent, he's used to running the Affton School District, and on October 25th he's running the sideline as our honorary home team coach. Four years on the varsity team in high school taught him that a great leader knows how to pass the ball, and he's passing the spotlight to the teachers who make Affton shine! He's proud to see students and families cheering for their teachers, and he'll keep the Harlem Wizards on a tight schedule. He'll ensure that every timeout will be board-approved! ✅

🎙 Affton Home Team Spotlight - Jenn Molsbee 📣

Mrs. Molsbee is a 5th grade teacher at Gotsch Intermediate School, so she knows that if you don't pass the test the first time, you take it again! She played in elementary school, she played in middle school, and 10 years ago she played the Harlem Wizards. On Oct 25th, she's back for extra credit! She's been a student of the game for years, and class is officially back in session.

The Harlem Wizards may have the magic, but she has the experience, and she's ready to make them stay after school!
