Heavenly Father,
We lift up the people of Haiti to You. In the midst of violence, fear, uncertainty, and suffering, we ask You to bring peace, protection, healing, and hope.
Protect the innocent. Comfort those who are grieving. Strengthen families and communities. Give wisdom and courage to those working to bring safety and stability. Let justice overcome corruption, unity overcome division, and love overcome hatred.
Lord, we believe that darkness will not have the final word. Peace will prevail. Hope will rise. Haiti will not be forgotten.
Bring restoration to this nation and remind every person who is afraid that You are near.
May Your peace cover Haiti. May Your light shine through the darkness. May peace prevail.
Amen.
Over the weekend, violence in Kenscoff, a community in the hills above Port-au-Prince, left at least 47 people dead—including five children—and more than 50 people kidnapped. Homes were also burned as families were forced to flee.
We grieve with the families who have lost loved ones and pray for those who are still waiting for their family members to come home.
Please pray for peace in Haiti. Pray for protection for innocent families, comfort for those who are grieving, freedom for those who have been kidnapped, and wisdom and courage for those working to bring security and stability.
Even in the midst of heartbreaking violence, we believe God is near to the brokenhearted and that there is always hope.
Please join us in praying for Haiti.
