The Hands On Project is a non-profit organization, managed by a Board of Directors, serving the Adrian, Michigan area. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for individuals seeking to improve their work, social and educational skills through real life experiences in a structured setting using community needs as our classroom.

The Hands On Project began in response to a desire to restore our community and bring back pride and a sense of belonging to something bigger than ourselves. The concept of "teach a man to fish" is the cornerstone of our organization. We will use real world experiences to teach professional trade, social, and academic skills necessary to restore a better community.

Through crowd-sourcing, raffles, individual donations and projects The Hands On Project has been hired to complete, we can reinvest back into the organization and continue to help individuals obtain skills needed to improve their life indefinitely. As there is no limit to people needing a helping hand in improving their situation, there is also no limit to the needs of improving the community. We recognize a demand for a stronger community and have the ability to supply it in the form of it's own people working to improve it. When people in the community take pride in a job done in the community, everyone is successful.

Each of us will one day be judged
By our standard of life,
Not by our standard of living;
By our measure of giving,
Not by our measure of wealth;
By our simple goodness,
Not by our seeming greatness.

Our Mission

This is very similar to us as well:

http://infinitelysimple.org/mission

The research on the benefits of work for individuals in recovery from mental challenges compelled us at Infinitely Simple to create a business that provides our clients with on-the-job-training so that they could move on and work in their community.
