🧩 Restoring Childhood Piece By Piece 🧩
Sometimes, it’s not just children in foster care that we help. Sometimes, we get the opportunity to help keep a family together. ❤️
Recently, a young family of four experienced the unthinkable—the sudden loss of their father and provider. They were left grieving in a home that was dilapidated and falling apart, while Mom was doing everything she could to hold her family together.
One of our incredible caseworkers helped them find a new home, and Called to Care was able to provide new clothing, toiletries, beds, and bedding for the family.
When Mom came to pick everything up, she was overwhelmed. She couldn’t understand how people could be so kind to her family during such a heartbreaking time. Through her tears, she repeatedly told us how blessed and grateful she was.
This is family preservation. This is what community looks like. Yes, Called to Care serves foster and adoptive children, but we also come alongside families who are struggling—providing the support, resources, and love they need to get through a difficult season and, whenever possible, keep their family together.
Because sometimes, helping a child means helping the whole family. ❤️
