Called To Care Cook Co Jesus. He is and always will be the motivation behind the work of Called to Care. We are no longer orphans.

It is not about how we can rescue these orphans, it’s about how Jesus rescued us. We are children of God, and we are loved by the heavenly Father. When we serve these children, God’s Word declares that we are, in turn, serving Him. However, when we fail to do this, we are rejecting Him. We all serve in three unique roles as part of the Great Commission: the one who sends, the one who goes, or the

one who disobeys. We invite you to pray about how you will allow God to use you for His Kingdom and Glory in partnership with Called to Care.

We have a child who needs to get to an important doctor’s appointment. We would like to supply this family with a $100 gas gift card to get the child to their appointment out of town.

Even a few dollars can help make sure they’re able to get to their appointment and receive the care that this child needs. ❤️

September is Kinship Foster Care month. 🧡

When a child cannot safely remain at home, the best next step is often right within their own circle. Kinship care happens when grandparents, aunts, uncles, older siblings, or close family friends ("fictive kin") step up to provide a safe, loving home. 🏠

Kinship families often skip the traditional foster care licensing process, meaning they frequently lack access to financial support and basic supplies. They also often face unique legal, emotional, and financial hurdles as they navigate the system unexpectedly.

Kinship caregivers preserve a child’s history, culture, and sense of belonging during tough transitions. But they can’t do it alone....it takes an entire village to support them. The sacrifice and dedication of these relatives and close family friends who step up to take responsibility for the care of these children is unmeasurable. 🙏🏼

We want to take this opportunity to thank these kinship families for ALL that they do, and we ask that you pray for them. If you know someone who currently has a family member in their care, we encourage you to reach out to them with support by telling them thank you, taking them a meal, giving a gift card, or some other act of kindness to show your appreciation. 🥰
