🐾 Sharing on behalf of the ADM Retirement Committee 🐾

Mrs. Lori Boston will be retiring at the end of this school year! For 35 years, she has made a lasting impact on so many students, and we would love to celebrate her incredible career.

To honor her, we are organizing a "card" shower and would be so grateful if you would consider sending a note, memory, or message of appreciation. Whether it’s a short thank-you or a favorite classroom story, we know it would mean a great deal.

ADM Class of 2018 alum Emily Pottebaum is being featured in the new book Amazing Iowa Scientists by Katy Swalwell!

Emily is currently a physicist at Yale, wrapping up her fourth year of a PhD in experimental nuclear physics. Alongside her research, she’s also teaching as a TA in instructional labs and a nuclear physics seminar.

Incredible work and representation—keep making ADM proud, Emily! 🚀

🔴 2026 Reunions 🔴

It's never too early to start planning ahead! Below is the list of planned reunions occurring over Sweet Corn Fest weekend. Please contact class liaison Barb Trier with info or updates: [email protected]

🐾 Class of 1953 🐾
Will be getting together again this August. Contact Lyle Roberts as time draws near at [email protected]

🐾 Class of 1966 🐾
Is planning to ride a float in the parade Saturday morning, and needs some help locating a hayrack. Their class reunion is Saturday, August 8th. Contact Bob King for more details at [email protected]

🐾 Class of 1971 🐾
The reunion will be Friday, August 7th at the Adel Family Fun Center, Formerly Known As (FKA) The Horseshoe Lanes, 1526 Greene St., starting at 6pm. For the Saturday parade, August 8, they will meet up at the former Straight Engineering location (18th St and Brickyard Road / 290th). The parade begins at 9:30am. Following that, they will gather from 11am-2pm at the Alumni Tailgate hosted by the Adel Class of 1970, at the Former DX Station, 1102 Greene St. Then, starting at 6pm, Jim & Pam Peters will host a Pre-Sweetcorn Festival Dance Soiree at their house, 925 S 14th St. Jim may be reached at [email protected]

🐾 Class of 1976 🐾
Will gather at Hillcrest Golf and Country Club, Saturday, August 8th. They will have a meal, and ask for a free will donation. The page is “Adel DeSotoClass of 1976 Reunion”. Please confirm your attendance to Paula James at [email protected], or 515-250-6509.

🐾 Class of 1981 🐾
Will gather at the Fiesta restaurant. The class page is “ADM 1981 Where Are We Now” Contact Marie Eldridge Hansen at [email protected] for more details.

🐾 Class of 1986 🐾
Is planning their reunion for Friday, August 7th, at Ambro’s Roadhouse in DeSoto, from 6-9pm. Sam Bertman has more details at [email protected].

🐾Class of 1991 🐾
Will participate in the Sweet Corn Festival Parade, and have reserved the patio at the Brickyard from 6-9pm Saturday evening. Follow developing plans on Adel DeSoto Minburn Class of 1991 Reunion or contact Jay Harbison at [email protected].

🐾Class of 2001 🐾
Plans are in the works for the 25th reunion. Check in on the ADM Class of 2001 page or contact Lindsey Grife for more details, [email protected].

🐾Class of 2006 🐾
Golfers will participate in the Alumni Golf Tournament on Thursday or Friday. The class reunion will be at Hillcrest Golf & Country Club on Friday, August 7th. Contact Libby Schmitt at [email protected]

🐾Class of 2021🐾
Aniston Smith & Brooke Hickey were able to set up their 5-year reunion on Friday, August 7th, at the Brickyard patio, 1802 Greene Street, in Adel.
