Crews from Somerset County are set to reopen Big Savage Tunnel on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

Custom doors secure the tunnel during the winter months, when cold temperatures and brisk winds at high elevation would otherwise deteriorate its protective inner lining. Plan a visit out to Big Savage Tunnel after March 25 to catch great views into Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia, just outside its eastern portal.

We are updating our event pricing starting April 1st.

We have a few incidients where the venue was left not clean and some damages have occured. To cover the cost of maintenance, the prices need to increase. Book your event by the end of March to get the current pricing.

Just getting started!

Some of us grew up here; some of us didn’t. Some of us have families that settled here before the nation was founded; others are still finding their little place to call home. Many of us have pride in our area and our history and want to offer our own ingenuity to the legacy of the community.

Now, some people will say there's nothing to do up here. Of course, there are things going on, so I hope to seek out and share events and other good things for locals on our mountain. I’m currently cultivating a calendar of events focusing on traditions, hobbies and community, using the following as a guide: 1.) 20 mile radius of Addison, PA* 2.) Open to the public & of interest to local residents, not just tourists 3.) No bar events please
