🌳 **Support Addison Arbor Foundation and Celebrate Public Art on North Texas Giving Day 2026! 🌳

A very special day is nearly here.

It's North Texas Giving Day!

Why Public Art Matters: Public art isn't just about aesthetics; it's about telling stories, sparking conversations, and fostering a sense of belonging. When art meets nature in our parks and green spaces, it transforms ordinary places into extraordinary ones.

By supporting the Addison Arbor Foundation on North Texas Giving Day, you're contributing to our mission of enhancing Addison's green spaces with meaningful public art installations. Your donation will help us commission local artists, create engaging installations, and provide spaces for reflection and inspiration.

Over the last 31 years we’ve sponsored over 30 public art works, 6 wood animal carvings, benches as well as the planting of over 350 trees and multiple landscaping projects.

When was the last time you made a paper airplane?

A new piece of public art has taken flight at Jefferson Aero. Addison Parks staff recently assisted with the installation of Folding Planes, a sculpture by renowned origami artist Kevin Box, at the new apartment community at the southeast corner of Addison Road and Airport Parkway.

Sponsored by the Addison Arbor Foundation in collaboration with the Town of Addison, the sculpture was funded by JPI, the developer of Jefferson Aero. The Foundation worked with the developer to select the piece and coordinated with the artist to bring it to Addison.

Inspired by the process of making a paper airplane, Folding Planes illustrates the transformation of a single sheet of paper into a plane in seven steps. Located directly across the street from Addison Airport, the aviation-inspired piece is a fitting addition to Jefferson Aero and Addison’s growing public art collection.

Jefferson Aero is now leasing, with residents expected to begin moving into the new community soon.
