We strive to connect women behind a shared purpose of volunteerism and community support. The Addison Women’s Club was initially organized in 1962. It functioned as a service group for the next fourteen years. Twenty years later, in July 1996 a group of enthusiastic local residents sought to re-establish the organization. Since then The Women’s Club of Addison has flourished as a dynamic force in
the community. The Women’s Club is primarily a service organization that works to support worthwhile charitable causes, enhance our local community, and contribute to the personal growth of our members. In addition, we schedule meetings of interest that promote camaraderie, conversation and congeniality. We have enjoyable times together! We are proud of our accomplishments in serving our community and helping others. In recent years we have supported The Addison Community Switchboard, Serenity House, Addison Center for the Arts, Kids in Need, NEDSRA, PADS, Stepping Stones for Women and Children of Domestic Abuse, Poised for Success, Lutherbrook Comfort Dogs, and awarded college scholarships to deserving young women from Addison. We participate in the Mayor’s Community Charity Ball and plan various fund raising activities to support our philanthropic efforts. The Women’s Club of Addison is a vibrant and contributing member of the local community. Our strong commitment to helping others while enriching the lives of our members remains our focus.
