What a day! Yesterday, the Be Pro Be Proud Mobile Workshop rolled into town, giving WBR students a hands-on look at careers in the skilled trades, from operating industrial robotics to exploring high-demand technical fields. This interactive experience helps students see the real opportunities and pathways available beyond the traditional four-year college route, and it was great to see them jump right in!

The WBR Chamber is proud to work closely with WBRSchools to get students ready for the workforce. We hear from local businesses all the time that training is a huge part of hiring qualified workers, and events like this help build that pipeline right here at home.

From a 9 year old’s lemonade stand to a college entrepreneur building his own beverage brand 🍋👏 Join the West Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce this Sunday at 4PM for an official ribbon cutting celebrating Brennans Lemonade and this exciting milestone in the brand’s growth!

Brennan started his lemonade journey in 2015 through National Lemonade Day, and what began as a childhood business idea has grown into a beverage brand now reaching grocery store shelves. It’s exciting to see a young entrepreneur continue to grow his business, and we’re proud to celebrate this next chapter with Brennan and his team!

🏓 Hey Westside, we’re serving up something NEW! The West Baton Rouge Chamber’s FIRST-EVER Pickleball Tournament is coming November 2, and we’re turning it into a full day of competition, live music, local vendors, food, drinks, and family fun.

Grab your teammate, pick your division, and come spend the day with us because beginners are welcome, high school players have their own division, and you definitely don’t have to be a pickleball pro to get in the game!

Some places become part of a community’s history without even trying. Please join us in giving a warm welcome to our newest West Baton Rouge Chamber member, Jack's Place! 🎉 This Port Allen staple has been around for more than 100 years, opening its doors in 1924 and becoming one of the city’s most recognizable gathering spots along the way.

What makes the story even better? Jack’s Place is still family-run today, with the third generation carrying on what Jack Saia started more than a century ago. And from trivia and bingo to live music and a good old-fashioned game of pool, they’re still giving folks plenty of reasons to walk through the doors.

There’s something pretty special about a local business that has been here long enough to become part of the memories, stories, and routines of multiple generations 🙌 We’re proud to have Jack’s Place as a West Baton Rouge Chamber member and even prouder to celebrate the family businesses that have helped shape our community for generations.
