Helen Heller Day June 1st
Remembered with deep respect, heartfelt gratitude, and enduring admiration.
June 27, 1880 – June 1, 1968
Today, we honor and cherish the memory of Helen Keller—a woman of extraordinary courage, quiet grace, and unwavering determination, whose life stands as a lasting testament to the strength of the human spirit.
Though she lived without sight or hearing, Helen Keller illuminated the world through her resilience, compassion, and steadfast devotion to education, dignity, and human rights.
“Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it.”
Her legacy continues to inspire generations around the world, reminding us that true greatness is often found in perseverance, service, and hope.
In 1925, Helen Keller addressed the Lions Clubs International Convention and called upon its members to become “knights of the blind” in the noble fight against preventable blindness. Her words helped inspire a lasting commitment to vision care and support for people who are blind or visually impaired, a legacy of service that continues to touch lives to this day.

Today, we remember with deep respect and heartfelt gratitude the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Memorial Day is more than the beginning of summer; it is a solemn time to reflect, give thanks, and honor all who have served in our nation’s wars to protect the freedoms we cherish.
As we gather with family and friends, let us also pause to remember our fallen heroes, honor all who have served, and keep their loved ones in our hearts. With sincere appreciation for their sacrifice and service, we wish everyone a safe, meaningful, and reflective Memorial Day.
