“It seemed so mysterious to me why something that has come in and out of acceptance remains such a controversial subject,” said Sasha Velour, a celebrated 21st-century drag queen, in a recent interview with The Eagle. “Especially when dressing up in drag seems to provide universal joy to those who take part in it, but seems scandalous and controversial to those who know nothing about it.”

Join photographer Thaddeus B. Kubis—whose striking photography is currently featured in our Adams Theater lobby gallery—for a free, guided pop-up photo walk through our visually rich mountain town.

Kubis will meet with participants in front of the theater, then take an inspiring stroll through the surrounding neighborhood streets and the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail. Whether you shoot on a professional DSLR, a vintage film camera, or just your smartphone, this walk is open to all experience levels and gear formats. It is a fantastic opportunity to sharpen your eye, discover hidden local details, and learn techniques directly from a featured artist.
