Mt. Carmel Cemetery Association

Mt. Carmel Cemetery Association The Mt. Carmel Cemetery Association was formed in July of 2021 to preserve the church grounds. Mr. Kerr donated land again in 1854.

Mount Carmel Church has been worshiping and serving the Lord continuously in the Hall Station Community since 1834 when the church was established at a home on Pearson Mountain. During the early years, the congregation met in different homes in the community. In 1844 Robert Nelson Kerr, the great-great grandfather of several current board members, donated land for a church to be built across the r

ailroad for the present site. Then in 1860, construction of a new church, that stands still today, began. Unfortunately, construction was interrupted by the Civil War, and the church was not completed until 1880. The current building was dedicated in 1915. In 1979, a fellowship hall was added on, and later a picnic shelter was added. As we move into 2022, The Mount Carmel Cemetery Association has assumed ownership of the Chapel and cemetery grounds.

The Mt. Carmel Cemetery Association is in the process of obtaining ownership of the historic Mt. Carmel Church on Hall Station Road in Adairsville, Georgia. We are also working to get established as a non-profit organization. Our main goal is to preserve and protect the building and grounds of this historic site that has been in operation for nearly 200 years. On our page, you will be able to see pictures of Mt. Carmel church through the years and any events that will be taking place at the site. Any money raised through our association will be directly put back into maintaining the church building, as well as the cemetery grounds.
