The club enjoyed hearing from David Strittmatter, ONU Professor and Paul Osborne, Alger Village Administrator yesterday at our meeting. They provided an interesting program on Alger born, Ray Brown. Ray was a pitcher in the Negro Leagues in the 1930s-1940s and was posthumously inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2006.

Alger will host a "party in the park" and dedication of the Ray Brown Memorial Park on Thursday, May 14 from 1-6 p.m.

Thank you to all of the teams who supported the 8th annual Ada Rotary Super Bowl in memory of Kevin Mierzejewski! Shout out to: Ada Lions Club, Associated Plastics, Century 21, Middlefield Bank, Quest FCU, The Inn at ONU, US Bank and Vancrest. You all bowled well but one team battled to the top!
