Every minute, 24 people in the U.S. are hurt by an intimate partner—pause and let that sink in. 🕒

Domestic violence isn’t “just a private issue.” It can lead to injuries, long-term trauma, and even death, touching everyone from survivors to kids, coworkers, and communities.

And it carries a huge financial toll too—medical care, lost work time, housing moves, legal costs, and ongoing support that survivors often have to piece together while trying to stay safe.

If you could change one thing in your community to make it easier for someone to get help sooner, what would it be? 💜🗣️

When a victim declines a lethality assessment or advocate call, it can be tempting to write that case off. But new research says that's exactly the wrong response.

Tomorrow, June 25 at 1:30pm CST, join us for a webinar drawing on a researcher-practitioner study of a real rural LAP program. Using ride-alongs, interviews, police records, and court outcomes, the session explores why victims may decline the LAP, and what that means for case outcomes, officer follow-up, and coordinated community response.

The data is clear: refusal is not the end of the road. It's information. Register for the free webinar here: https://bit.ly/4uSBPF9

May 5 is the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIW), also known as Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons (MMIP) and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives (MMIWG).

Indigenous persons are disproportionately affected by violence due to historical and ongoing factors like colonization, systemic neglect, and discriminatory policies. This MMIW National Day of Awareness encourages people to wear red in solidarity and learn more about the issue.
