Cherokee County GA Auxiliary Communications Auxiliary Communications (AUXCOMM) is an all-inclusive term, created by DHS in 2009 by OEC.

AUXCOMM doesn’t replace any existing organization but operates as one common umbrella term for Public Safety, supporting Amateur Radio, ARES, RACES, CERT teams.

Purpose Statement:
Cherokee County GA Auxiliary Communications strives to provide strategic and technical communication support, utilizing various types of emergency communications by working hand in hand with ARES, RACES, Emergency Management, CERT, Public Safety, Civil Air Patrol, REACT, special events, and other government agencies. Auxiliary Communications doesn’t replace any existing organization. Our goal is to ensure resilient emergency communications to provide relief services during emergencies or other times when normal communication systems are overloaded or have failed. Cherokee County GA Auxiliary Communications is all volunteer and a 501c3 non-profit organization.
