STEM Day at Woodstock Middle is officially underway 🤖⚙️

We just got set up and the robot demos are starting — already drawing a crowd. There’s something about seeing a robot move in real life that instantly clicks.

We’ll be showing how it all works — from design and build to coding and control — and letting students get up close with the action.

Let’s see who catches the robotics bug today 👀🚀

We quietly flipped the switch 👀

Our new website is now live in “soft launch” mode — which is a fancy way of saying it’s up, and we’re still tweaking things behind the scenes.

You might notice a few rough edges… that’s intentional. We want real feedback, instead of waiting for “perfect” (because perfect never ships).

Take a look around, break things (gently), and tell us what you think.

More updates coming soon 🚀

This afternoon a bunch of the team met up at Dallas Markets for a little downtime together. Darts, pool, and a steady rotation through the arcade games kept everyone busy — and a few “friendly” rivalries definitely appeared.

It turned out to be a great spot for a team hangout. Plenty of space, easy parking, and a relaxed atmosphere where everyone could actually talk and spend time together. No overwhelming crowds or constant noise — just the team unwinding and having fun.

Robots might bring us together, but afternoons like this are what really build the team. 🎯🎱👾

Great visit today from Debra Cox, Director of Strategy and Development at Georgia FIRST Robotics, and Scott Cox from Georgia Power, at the Cherokee Makerspace.

We shared what our students have been building and discussed plans for the future of our teams, including expanding opportunities through the Georgia FIRST Manufacturing Initiative. We also floated the idea of a possible return to the FIRST Robotics Competition for the 2026-27 season, which could open another exciting chapter for our program.

Thank you, Debra and Scott, for taking the time to visit and learn more about what our students are building.

GEORGIA HIGH SCORE

Firestorm and Frostbite had a great time at the Georgia State Championships this weekend.

🔥 Firestorm:
- alongside our alliance captain 17421 Talon Tech, set the Georgia High Score — a record that stood unbroken.
- earned the 🏆Think Award for their engineering process and design work.
- advanced to compete in the 🚀 FTC Premier Events this summer.

Congratulations to all our members and huge thanks to our sponsors, parents, mentors, volunteeers and all the teams for making all of this possible. This doesn’t happen without the people behind the robots.

Fresh off competition, the team was back Sunday morning for a full teardown and revalidation.

Every subsystem.

The goal: understand exactly what failed, what held up, and what needs to change before State Championships.

League play was intense. Frostbite and Firestorm both performed at a level that earned them advancement to State, and the Control Award validated the team’s work on software and system control. But trophies don’t fix weak points—engineering does.

Huge thanks to our sponsors for enabling this level of iteration, and to the parents who support the long hours and early mornings that make this possible.

Looking forward to our v3 robot!

STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS, here we come. 🔧🤖🔥

League Championships didn’t go the way we hoped—but the story doesn’t end there.

Frostbite and Firestorm dominated qualifiers, finishing 1st and 3rd, and teamed up for playoffs. An unexpected component failure shifted the outcome late, and the final two matches slipped away.

Performance still counts.
Both Frostbite and Firestorm earned enough points to qualify for State Championships.
It came down to the wire.

On top of that, we’re proud to take home the Control Award—a huge nod to the students’ work in software, automation, and reliability.

A massive thank-you to our sponsors for making this season possible, and to the mentors and parents who put in the miles, the hours, and the trust. This doesn’t happen without you.

Lessons learned. Weak points identified.
Now we’re back in the shop—building back better.

2026 LEAGUE MEET 4
When the dust settled, FTC 23638 Firestorm finished 1st and FTC 26481 Frostbite claimed 2nd. Same program. Same shop. Different personalities.

Firestorm set the tone early with raw speed and aggression — the fastest shooter in the league firing 3 shots per second. Frostbite followed with ruthless consistency. Clean cycles. Calm driving. No wasted motion. While others scrambled, Frostbite executed — match after match — proving that precision is just as deadly as speed.

First and second.
Fire and ice.
