Is Jesus truly Lord of ALL your life, or just a portion of it? This week's message challenged us to stop dividing our lives into compartments and start surrendering every area to Christ, our King.

Elijah confronted King Ahab for abandoning God's commands and following idols. That same question echoes for us today: have we allowed comfort, convenience, and the world's approval to quietly replace God's lordship in our hearts?

Jesus said in Matthew 6 to pray "your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." That is not a passive prayer. It is a daily surrender. Holiness is not legalism, it is love in action.

Come ready to be challenged, encouraged, and stirred toward a faith that is visible, intentional, and fully alive.

We are 3.5 weeks out from the Operation Christmas Child Packing Party! It's Nov. 8th - 11:45 (aft church) we will have salad and pizza for lunch (please RSVP) and listen to our guest speakers, Gene & Becky Martin, and then fill the shoeboxes. We are praying to be able to fill 300 (+++++🥰)
Remember you CAN fill your own shoebox - bring it to Branches Nov. 22nd, donate items for this packing party, and/or fill up a $10 quarter roll (40qtrs) to help Samaritans Purse with shipping, materials, etc. - Shoeboxes and Quarter wrappers are in the lobby on the Shoebox display.

When was the last time you truly examined the altar of your heart? In 1 Kings 18, Elijah did not just call down fire from heaven — he first rebuilt a broken altar that had fallen into disuse. That detail matters more than we might think.

Romans 12:1 calls us to offer ourselves as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. This is our spiritual act of worship — not just singing on Sunday, but surrendering our will daily. And in John 4, Jesus told the woman at the well that true worshipers worship the Father in spirit and in truth.

Is your altar defiled, or has it simply gone unused? Either way, the invitation is the same: come back, rebuild, and present yourself freshly before God. The One who answered by fire is still listening.

Are you straining at the oars this week? Frustrated, exhausted, wondering why God is not stepping in? You are not alone. Even the disciples found themselves rowing hard and getting nowhere — and Jesus saw every moment of it.

This Sunday we explored Mark 6 and the story behind the story. Jesus did not let his disciples struggle because he stopped caring. He let them struggle because he was building something in them that calm waters never could — character, faith, and trust that goes deeper than feelings.

Sometimes God allows the wind to work against you because he is more interested in who you are becoming than in how comfortable you are right now. Rest in him. Pray like Jesus did. And trust that he sees you out there on the water.

Jesus was not a distant, untouchable figure. He wept. He grieved. He needed rest. He prayed with loud cries and tears (Hebrews 5:7). He was human in every way so that He could truly relate to you.

When Jesus learned of John the Baptist's death, He was heartbroken. But when the crowds found Him anyway, He did not turn them away. He had compassion. He fed over 5,000 people with a child's small offering of five loaves and two fish. His grief did not override His love.

That is the invitation for us. When life pulls us in every direction, we do not have to be driven by our emotions. We can pause, pray, and ask God for compassion. The peace you are looking for often comes when you stop focusing inward and start giving outward.
