Neil's Beginner Painting July Sign Up is Open! Learn the basics of painting with Neil. He will show you how to mix acrylics and create beautiful scenes just like these. This is perfect for those who have never painted before!

Description:
This class is perfect for beginners and beyond- It is geared toward beginners who have never painted before or those who have little experience, as well as those with some painting experience. Neil will discuss on Gesso, Painting Surface Preparation, Paper, Panel, Canvas, Paint Theory, Brush Usage, Practice Mixing Paints, Using Brushes and be available to guide those with previous painting experience. Join us for a fun and creative class where you will learn how to create a beautiful 3d layered paper shadow box. This workshop is the perfect way to try something new and make lasting memories. Bring a friend, or make new ones! No experience necessary.
Shadowbox Workshop with Celeste!

⏰ 10:00-12:00 (One Day Workshop)
Cost: $60 All Supplies Included. Ages 15 and older.
DESCRIPTION:
Each shadow box is anywhere from 8 to 14 layers, and can be completed in 1-2 hrs, depending on design chosen and your experience. All materials will be provided, and you will leave the class with your own beautiful framed 8” x 8” shadow box to display in your home or office. Choose one of the 9 amazing designs from the date of your class above. Questions can be emailed to Celeste at: [email protected].

July is almost here! In Gary's next oil painting session, he will demo how to add animals and people!

Landscape Painting in Oil- Adding Animals & People
📅 Next Class Dates: Fridays, July 10 - 31 (4 weeks)
⏰ Time: 9:00-12:00
Description:
Gary will begin each class with a short demonstration/discussion. Following this, he will offer assistance at your easel. Plan to have 4 canvases size 8x10, 9x12 or 11x14 for this session. We will work on a different painting each week. If you have never painted in oil, working on landscape paintings is an excellent way to learn how to use the medium.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS! Deadline Coming Up!
July 11-August 29: “Realism to Abstraction” Exhibit
Submissions open to local artists who can hand deliver their work to the Art House. (Submissions accepted: Sunday, April 17 until Wednesday, June 15)

Two and Three Dimensional Works in any medium will be considered for this exhibit. Please submit up to three 2-dimensional pieces or up to six 3-dimensional pieces. Maximum size (inclusive of frame, if framed) to be considered is 16x20. All works submitted must be available for sale.

Delivery of works: Tuesday & Wednesday, July 7 & 8, Noon-6pm. Pick-up of works at the end of the exhibit: Tuesday & Wednesday, September 1 & 2, Noon-6pm.

Receptions: Saturday, August 1, 4-7pm.
