Deaf vs deaf

Hello everyone!

I want to discuss a topic of comparison between Deaf and deaf especially relating to the Georgia Runoff election. What can we know about our conversation compare between Deaf and deaf?

DO you know that some D/deaf people have good auditory skills by using cochlear implants? They even speak well with it? Their language skills are good? but they sometimes look down on one another? The other D/deaf may be struggling with language? As if they couldn’t speak well as they do?Or if their signing skills lack fluency? We have a prejudice against one and another.

Yes, they happen in this world. What is this called? Audism.

This is an ugly word. You do not want to cause more divisions within our world. For the Black Deaf community, For the Latinx Deaf community. For the LGBTQ+ Deaf community. For the Female Deaf community. For the Male Deaf community. For the elderly Deaf community. For those who went to mainstream schools. For those who went to Deaf schools. We have different groups within our world. But ALL of us have something in common- is we are Deaf.

We have different identities that we can respect each other. Let’s respect one and another. Respect is what we can do. It does not help when we oppress and belittle others. Oppressing a certain group of D/deaf people within our world. That is not acceptable. it should be stopped now.

We can support each other. Let me ask you this…. Which is more important? Should this D/eat person be able to work together, be able to communicate, get the education to teach our future generation, and have a career? Or should we minimize them for lacking them? Should we make fun of them? NO, that does not help.

It is extremely important to give our hands out to collaborate and support. If we want to feel good… everyone in our world and every single one of them is D/deaf has a career, education, communication access, and support for each other regardless of our differences. Sounds good?

Check this out…. Some D/deaf people are late-deafened. Some of the D/deaf are raised in oral education. Some were mainstreamed full time. Some of them use cochlear implants. Including Black, Latinx, and Asians. Even, they are part of the LGBTQ+ community. Wow, they are many more microcosmic communities. Imagine looking into a microscope, we see marginalized groups scattered everywhere.

We don’t need more divisions. Let’s bring microcosms together to unify together. D/deaf people need love and they deserve respect. This is profound. How do others earn respect? Respect us and we respect you back. You and I want a better future for yourself and the other D/dead community, the microcosms of the marginalized groups. To reduce the marginalization and make out D/deaf community inclusive.

Okay. Let’s start with respect and love for each other and support and unity. It is okay to be different! And being the same isn’t okay. Are we good? Understood?

Now…. do you know the good news? Warnock and Ossoff won! WOW! My respect goes to them! What an intense election! So close! It was a very tough competition! Cheers to Warnock and Ossoff campaign teams! Thank you for watching!

I’d like to grab opportunity to explain

Jon Ossoff’s beliefs and values

The priorities are healthcare: He wants to make sure

Everyone has an access to them, lower prices for medicine cost,

Hospital bills and visiting, doctor’s bills will be reduced.

He feels everyone deserves access to healthcare.

Secondly, COVID-19 cases are increasing.

Millions of Americans are losing their jobs.

Business has been closed down.

Many businesses are struggling to keep running.

Many people are suffering. He recognizes and supports relief under control.

He supports to provide Hospital more supplies, beds, vaccines, and all these things

He still will continue to support. He acknowledges he will continue

to continue unemployment benefits, to continue to send benefits and

Help to protect those people who are in debt, not being able to pay

For house, apartment, avoid foreclosure from banks going

After them for what’s owed. Landlords evictions will be prevented.

Now that there’s an economic crash. Many Americans lost their jobs,

Struggling to pay rents, food, and all these struggles to meet their

Basic needs to survive. They are still struggling right now.

He recognizes and he wants this economy under control and

Expand the economy again. He wants to support them to find jobs.

He wants to provide training, whichever who needs a job will have a training program

He will support raising minimum wage, starting at $15 per hour

He would like to support and make sure everyone has comfort with basic life needs.

Next, he will support Education. He believes 4 years college education should be free.

The students should not have to deal with debt. There are many still struggling with

Their student debts. The student loans are skyrocketing high. They are still making profits.

Colleges are still expensive, people still struggling and want to go to college but cannot afford.

They are still working to save up. No… that should be free. Next, a program called

Forgiveness programs. It forgives student loans. Student loans should be reduced.

So, the progress will help them to buy houses, buy cars, and other things.

It will help the economy to grow again.

Last, he supports women’s rights, criminal justice, and many more.

It’s a lot.

Warnock’s Vision and Values in ASL

Are Warnock’s beliefs and values - I will explain in depth.

Economy- the goal is to increase work opportunities

And expand, where people can have the opportunity to work

As for COVID-19- it needs to be under control with encouragement,

encourage others to wear masks and encourage access to vaccines

provide resources to nurses, doctors, frontline healthcare workers

working with patients, believes in financial relief for Americans

When it comes to Healthcare, he believes in everyone having

equal access to affordable healthcare.

Everyone deserves to have access to quality healthcare.

He strongly supports people taking care of their mental health.

Criminal Justice- fighting for people’s rights

as well encouraging and supporting equality for other people

As well taking a look at the prison system and how to improve it

as well reduce system punishment and

and focus on community based programs to enrich people’s lives

Now when it comes to education, he supports high education and K-12th grade education

He supports and encourages increased salaries for teachers

He supports reduced costs for higher education and 4 years college

He supports community programs for those in debt

He believes in several things such climate change, LGBT, Veterans and soldiers,

He believes in providing opportunities for them after their service in war and etc

Provide jobs opportunities, financial support, access to health care as well mental health care

What I’ve discussed so far are Warnock’s vision and values

It’s important to vote for him!
