After months of speculation and behind-the-scenes planning, Olive Garden parent company Darden Restaurants has officially identified Cedarcrest Road as the next target for expansion.

According to recent corporate announcements, the brand has been aggressively growing its footprint through strategic site selection and long-term development agreements, with multiple new locations already in active development and more in the pipeline. 

Sources close to the project confirm that Cedarcrest was chosen due to its rapid residential growth, strong household income demographics, and increasing demand for better dining concepts in the corridor. The proposed location is expected to feature the brand’s latest restaurant design, enhanced takeout capabilities, and—yes—unlimited breadsticks will remain untouched.

Construction timelines have not been formally released, but early planning documents suggest a targeted opening window aligned with the brand’s ongoing 2026 expansion efforts.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 🚨 Leadership Paulding and PPSA Launch Fundraiser to Build New K-9 Training Facility for the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office 🐶

Leadership Paulding, in partnership with Paulding Public Safety Appreciation (PPSA), is proud to announce the launch of a community fundraising campaign to construct a new K-9 training facility for the Paulding County Sheriff's Office.

The project, selected as Leadership Paulding’s 2026 class initiative, aims to raise $8,000 to fund the construction of a secure and dedicated training space for the Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit. The facility will be located at 284 Dallas Industrial Drive, Dallas, Georgia 30132, at the Sheriff’s Office’s existing training property.

The proposed facility will include:
👉Professional obstacle course equipment
👉Secure perimeter fencing
👉Training props and structures
👉Dedicated space for skill development and scenario-based exercises

The idea for the facility was presented by a member of Leadership Paulding, who recognized the need for an enhanced training environment to ensure K-9 teams remain mission-ready.

K-9 units serve a critical role in public safety operations, assisting with suspect tracking, narcotics detection, evidence recovery, and officer safety initiatives throughout Paulding County. A designated training facility will provide a safe and controlled environment for continuous skill development.

“This project is about investing in the safety and effectiveness of our K-9 teams and the deputies who work alongside them,” said representatives from Leadership Paulding. “With community support, we can build a lasting resource that benefits public safety for years to come.”

PPSA will assist in coordinating fundraising efforts and community engagement to help meet the campaign’s financial goal. Local businesses and community members are encouraged to contribute through monetary donations, sponsorship opportunities, or material contributions.
