-our local TNR (trap/neuter/return) group has acquired 3 adults cats. They have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated but it is unsafe for them to return back to their original home.
These cats are feral, extra spicy, they do not belong in a home environment. They need a safe outside space where they can be working cats/barn cats.
Barn cats require a relocation protocol to safely introduce them into an unknown environment. They cannot just be leased.
They are currently safe in a temp spot until they are “hired” but it is not an ideal or long term solution. They need a safe outdoor space to work. It’s what they know and what they need!

Junimoon is our only available kitty. 🐈‍⬛

She is 3-4 years old and a sweet kitty.
-She is a diva!! she gives affection on her own time and demands it when she's ready.
-loves to rub her black hair all over your clothing, as if to claim you.
-she will chase anything- lasers, strings, cords, anything that moves.

All of our cats are spayed/neutered, combo tested, vaccinated and microchipped before being adopted.
Kittens must be 2lbs before they are “old enough” to be fixed. That normally happens at 10-12 weeks of age.

Kitten season has arrived!!!
Currently we have a litter of 5 week old kittens, a litter of 6 week old kittens, a litter of 8 week old kittens and a litter of 9 week old kittens. Our next spay/ neuter date is coming up in two weeks and they will need a week after to recover. So kittens will not be available for another 3 weeks.

Tessa, now Jade, is working through her vetting and getting healthy after years of neglect.

During spayed last week, a large mass was discovered that required further evaluation by our regular vet. Today, we took the next step forward with a thorough exam, bloodwork, and the initiation of heartworm treatment.

The vet confirmed that the mammary mass needs to be removed, and we've scheduled the surgery for next Thursday.

Heartworm injections are set for August and September. While the treatment costs have increased, we're confident that with the support of generous donors, we can raise the necessary funds. We've already utilized Jade's pledges for her mass removal surgery, so we're now focusing on raising an additional $800 for her heartworm treatment.

Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to ensuring Jade receives the care she needs. We're grateful for your support in helping us make a positive impact on Jade's life. 😩!!!

Benny is ready for his next chapter.
His first mom died when he was just 6 years old. he moved in with her best friend where he lived for about a year with a dozen cats. As that mom’s health started to decline,she decided it was time to start coming down in numbers. She reached out to rescue. Benny came to Amazing Mutts and Wiggle Butts and some of the younger kitties went to a cat rescue. She kept a few of the senior cats.
Benny was caught up on his vetting including comprehensive bloodwork and a dental- eating wet cat food for over a year was not good for his teeth.
Then in November, Benny would meet Henry. Things were great, he loved his daddy, but then one day, his dad had a stroke and after some time in the hospital, he passed away. The family decided it would be best for Benny to come back to rescue.
Now 8 years old, Benny is looking for a place to hang out for his final chapters.
He is good with cats, been in a foster home with both small and large dogs.
Would do best with another pet in the home to keep him company.
He’s only 10 lbs and takes up just a small amount of space on a pillow or curled up at the top of the couch.
He is not crate trained, but is house trained. Would need a little time to learn his new schedule/routine.
He has not been around small kids as his previous homes have all been older single adults. He connects strongly to his people, but can be a little wary around new people.

Ruby is still coming out of her shell. She was rescued from Polk county about 2 weeks ago, but before that, she was part of a cruelty case. 5 adults were surrendered to the shelter, skinny and with signs that they recently had puppies.
Reason listed for surrender: too many dogs!!!
She has since been spayed, tested negative for heartworms and updated on all of her vaccines. She has been getting two meals a day and starting to fill in a little.
She is estimated to be about 1.5 to 2 years old and weighs about 50 lbs now with a little more filling in to do.
She is crate trained, but still working on other basic skills. She acts as she had never walked on leash before and pulls with the greatest excitement wondering where she will go next, we doubt she had seen much outside of the fenced yard she originally came from.
She is a little reserved around new people, but perks up at the sound of young kids. If you get down on her level, she will curl up in your lap.
She has been great with the dogs she has met in her foster home, and enjoys having another dog to play with.
She is a little too interest in the barn cats, not sure if she would feel the same about a house cat.
She has developed a love of squeaky toys! She enjoys spending time with the family on the couch and learning about all of the things a loving home has to offer.

This girl is still waiting for her forever family. Adopted as a young puppy and the found roaming in the neighborhood. Animal control picked her up and scanned her microchip. When the family didn’t come for her, we did.
We found out that they worked long hours and Stella was placed outside all day. Her desire to be around people, she would often get out and go play with the neighborhood kids. But roaming the streets was not safe and she did a stint at the big house.
Stella is now 18 months old and full grown at about 35-40 lbs. She still loves her people; always excited to meet a new friend! She loves Tennis 🎾 balls and will play fetch for hours.
