A huge thank you from The Shepherd's Pantry at 1215 Main Street in Acushnet to the following amazing Fairhaven High School students: LUKE DUPREE, AUGUSTA FRIEDEL, ABI TOME, GAVIN ENDER. Luke worked with his fellow students to bring awareness to food insecurity in our communities. They gathered items to donate to our pantry. With so many other things going on in their busy lives, these students "hit the pause button" to focus on how and where they could make a difference in the lives of others. We appreciate their efforts and commend them all for being "difference-makers". The Shepherd's Pantry gives all of you an "A PLUS" for a project well done! Thank you all, and please come by any Saturday from 9-11 am and volunteer to help with our food distribution. It is a great way to give back while staying grounded. God bless you all!!!!

Thank you to everyone at Trinity Lutheran Church for your Souper Bowl of Caring event in February. We just received your generous check which we will use to purchase food for the clients we serve. Due to the unprecedented Blizzard, The Shepherd's Pantry in Acushnet will be closed this Saturday, Feb. 28th. We make this challenging decision with the safety of EVERYONE foremost in our thoughts. God bless you all with safety and patience. We will re-open next Saturday, March 7th for client pick-ups. Thank you for your understanding.

Once again, way-to-go to Acushnet Public Schools AES for a very successful 2026 Souper-Bowl food drive! All of you ramped up your team spirit and filled many boxes with cans of soup for The Shepherd's Pantry. Thank you to the students, teachers, staff and families for all of your support. You have warmed our hearts with your generosity, and will be warming the tummies of many needy families. Stand tall and proud of your accomplishments!!!! You all get an A+++!!!!

OUR 26TH YEAR!!!! We don't reach our 26th year of distributing food without the help of MANY, MANY people! We thank everyone who has helped us sustain our cause week after week through your monetary donations, food donations, fundraisers. We rely SOLELY on donations and would not be able to help the food insecure without your generosity. We thank our dedicated team of volunteers who give hours of their time to sort, shelve, and bag food during the week, and then help on Saturday mornings with checking in clients and food distribution. We thank the area churches whose volunteers help us every week on a rotating basis: Trinity Lutheran Church, Acushnet Wesley United Methodist Church, St. Mary's Parish Fairhaven, MA, St. St Joseph's of Fairhaven, New Life Pentecostal Church, Unitarian Universalist Society of Fairhaven (MA). We thank the wonderful folks at Long Plain United Methodist Church for the use of their lower level for our Pantry. "It takes a village", and for us, it takes MANY villages for all of this to work. We thank EVERYONE from the bottom of our hearts for your support and generosity!!!!! Together, we really do make a difference in the lives of those in need!!!!

A special shout-out to the students at Acushnet Public Schools Elementary School and the WILDCATS for their donation of food items which our pantry received on 12-19-25 - just in time to help our clients before Christmas! And many thanks to NORA and the AES Wildcats for the very special card she wrote and sent to us, thanking us for all we do to help people in the community. Way to go NORA and the Wildcats - we couldn't have helped others without YOUR wonderful and generous help, so all of YOU are the stars of this season!!!!! Thank you and God bless you all!!!!!

Our sincere thanks to all the fine folks at P.J. Keating Company for the food drive they held. The Shepherd's Pantry was one of the recipients of not only food items, but also gift cards and a check donation. This company gives back so much to so many in the community. We cannot thank them enough for making sure our pantry was taken care of. Merry Christmas to you all and may you all be blessed with good health and happiness!!!!!

What happens when community comes together? Another successful Fairhaven Turkey Trot that's what!!! Just look at the photos - they speak for themselves. The participation in this event, along with the amount of food and donations collected for The Shepherd's Pantry showed such support and compassion! We thank all the organizers, volunteers and participants for this annual event, which we truly depend on each year to help us help others! God bless ALL of you!!!!!

Many thanks to the Acushnet Lions Club and River's End Cafe for all their efforts making the 2025 Toy and Food Drive Motorcycle Run a huge success. It takes a village, or two....and all these fine folks came together to bring The Shepherds Pantry so many food and toy donations! We are getting things organized now for Christmas distribution and all of your efforts will make many, many clients and their families very happy! Thank you so much from all of us at the pantry for being "difference-makers"!!! We appreciate ALL of you!!!!!

A huge shout-out to Acushnet Public Schools Elementary school, the staff, 4th grade students in Mr. Powers' class, families and organizers of the Thanksgiving Food Drive 2025! Close to 1000 canned goods were collected for The Shepherds Pantry! What a great job you all did!!! Know that your efforts made a difference in the holiday for our clients this year. We are so very grateful for your efforts. You should be very proud of this terrific accomplishment, proving that YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!!
