Remembrance Page Jake, a healthy athletic man, died of a fatal arrhythmia while on a treadmill at 28 years old.

Jake had a magnanimous personality that would light up a room when he entered. He had a special gift to make every person who walked with him in life feel loved and special. As parents we struggled with the challenge of how to honor the son whose life ended way too soon and had so much more to give. In December 2020, we opened The Jake Fabian Memorial Fund through the SouthCoast Community Foundati

on. This organization makes grants to nonprofits that help the youth in our community. Through the generosity and kindness of friends, family and community, we have been able to raise
funds to support the causes that would reflect Jake’s values and passions. Jake, a songwriter, wrote
“Give me a platform and money so I can turn one cloud to sunny.” This has been the guiding ideology of
the fund.
