We are taking our show on the road and we will be doing a Burger Fry at the Ackley Rec Center (Ackley Country Club) this coming Saturday, March 28. This is open to the public, with all proceeds going to the club. It’s also the Promotional Night for the club and an opportunity to join the Ackley Rec Center as a member if you’d like. Lots of seating! We hope to see you there!

I can only imagine what was running through the minds of these Ackley heros when they were asked to serve our country. Teenagers..or not much more when asked to leave family and friends behind, they bravely accepted what fate had in store.

They continued that service by joining the Legion and continuing to serve in that capacity to this day! Tonight we honored Gary Lawrence for his 50 years of Legion membership. Jim and Joe Wessels have been faithful to the Legion for 60 years. Stan Squires has been a member of the Legion for 80 years! Thats a lotta meetings!! Commander Jeff Hesnard had the privilege of presenting them with their awards.

Please join me in congratulating and thanking them for their many years of service to this nation....and our community! We are proud of you! Thanks to all of our Legion members and those who have served, or are currently serving our country.

Just want to say thank you to everyone who was able to venture out to our Burger Fry and support us last night. We never know how they will go, but it was definitely a HUGE night....one of our biggest!
