Accident Volunteer Fire Department

A very special thank you to Crossroads Church for taking time to honor our local fire and EMS service today and make a donation to each department within our county. We appreciate the support of all our community members.

Some of the greatest heroes in our community are those who serve in our local Fire and EMS departments.

We will be honoring them this morning and praying over the important work they do among us.

Representatives from many of our local departments will be joining us in the 9am service this morning.

We’re also kicking off a brand new series called Build My Life.

This Fall is going to be a great opportunity to be very intentional about our faith.

If you’ve been out of Church during the busy summer season, today is your day to refocus and we hope to see you this morning at 9am or 11am.

Congratulations Eion! One of the MANY extracurricular activities Eion is involved in is volunteering and serving his community with our department!! Way to set the bar high!

Six Garrett County Public Schools graduates reached an incredible milestone this spring—earning both their high school diploma and an associate degree from Garrett College through the Laker Institute.

Even more impressive, all six graduated with academic honors while balancing college coursework, extracurricular activities, and leadership roles.

"The partnership between Garrett College and Garrett County Public Schools is second to none... working together to do great things for students." — Paul Edwards

Congratulations to these outstanding graduates on this remarkable achievement!

The Members of the Accident Volunteer Fire Department would like to send our thoughts and prayers to our brothers and sisters at Company 30 during this tragic loss.

Rest easy Brother, we will take it from here.

Line of Duty Death Announcement

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Deep Creek Volunteer Fire Company announces the Line of Duty Death of Firefighter Eugene Cervi.

Firefighter Cervi faithfully served his community as a dedicated member of the Deep Creek Volunteer Fire Company. His commitment to the fire service, his fellow members, and the citizens and visitors of the Deep Creek Lake area reflected the highest traditions of volunteer emergency service.

Eugene’s service, sacrifice, and devotion will never be forgotten. His loss is deeply felt by our fire company, our families, our emergency services partners, and the community we are honored to serve.

We ask that you keep Eugene’s family, friends, and the members of the Deep Creek Volunteer Fire Company in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Funeral and memorial service arrangements will be shared once they are finalized.

Rest easy, Firefighter Cervi. We will take it from here.
