Recently, we had the privilege of helping to coordinate and attend an Overdose Awareness Day event, remembering and honoring those lost to the overdose crisis and providing support to families and individuals still fighting. Thank you to all families that attended & shared their stories.

Thank you to our partners, Angels in Motion - Atlantic County , South Jersey AIDS Alliance, Jared Lombardi, Brian J. Wilson and Atlantic County Addiction Services for helping plan such a meaningful event.

Special thanks to our very own Melissa Ortiz and Gretchen Gilfert Halfpenny for being part of this event.

💜 Overdose Awareness Day Event 💜

Please join us this Friday as we come together as a community to remember those we’ve lost, support those who are still struggling, celebrate recovery, and raise awareness about the devastating impact of overdose.

📅 Friday, August 21st
🕔 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
📍 Angels in Motion Community Wellness Center
2 W. Glendale Ave., Pleasantville, NJ 08232

💜 Purple flags will be displayed in remembrance of lives lost to overdose.
🍪 Refreshments will be served.
🪑 Please try bring a blanket, beach/folding chair

Everyone is welcome. Come spend some time with us, connect with community resources, and help us honor the lives and families impacted by overdose.

🏡✨ We are still smiling from our amazing open house. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our agency, connect with old friends, and make new ones.

We shared a heartfelt goodbye with our wonderful former director, Bob, and gave a massive, warm welcome to our new Executive Director, Jennifer!

We love this community, and we cannot wait to work with all of you very soon.

We welcome our partners and friends to visit/tour our new location, but also to bid farewell to our Executive Director, Dr. Bob Zlotnick. After 31 years of service to APR, Bob has decided to step down and start on a new journey that will take him closer to his family.

APR is excited to welcome Jennifer Pielhau as our new Executive Director! Jennifer brings exceptional leadership, passion, vision and we look forward to the positive impact she will have on our organization and community.

We would love to have you join us at this momentous occasion. Hope to see you there 🩵
