Abita Springs Professional Firefighters would like to Congratulate Captain Brandon Stein on his appointment to Fire Chief tonight. Chief Stein has been a member of Fire District #8 for the last 16 years. Congrats Chief, looking forward to what you have in store for the department, community and the firefighters.

It is with great sadness that we pass on Fire Inspector Erik Kreppein with St. Tammany Fire District # 1 (Slidell) passed away after an aggressive fight with cancer. Prayers to his family and friends both blood and fire.
