Maybe you've been waiting until you're better before you come to God. Maybe you've been carrying something for so long you've forgotten what it feels like to put it down. Maybe you've convinced yourself you need to fix yourself first.

Here's the thing: He's not waiting for you to get it together. He's just waiting for you to come.

Not cleaned up. Not figured out. Not one step closer to who you think you should be. Just come. Weary, heavy, worn out, and all.

Maybe you've been told you need to clean yourself up before you come to God. Maybe church has felt more like a performance than a relationship.

Here's the thing: Jesus never asked you to come to a system. He asked you to come to Him. Not a denomination. Not a creed. Not a set of hoops to jump through. Just come. Weary, heavy, worn out, and all.

Everything else is a good gift, but it was never meant to be the destination. The moment we settle for the resource and miss the Person, we've missed it all.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest." —Matthew 11:28

He's not waiting for you to get it together. He's just waiting for you to come. 🙌

It's not a guilt trip. It's not a list of rules.

But it is a decision to turn the other direction. Repentance is hard, but God's grace in it to forgive and fulfill us is more than enough.

Maybe you've been hurt by someone and wanted them to face consequences. Maybe you've watched someone do wrong and thought, "They should be held accountable." Maybe you've wanted justice for the pain someone caused you.

Here's the thing: we all believe in justice, but it feels different when it's pointed at us.

If we want people to answer for the wrong they've done, why do we resist the idea that God might hold us accountable too? If we desire repentance from those who hurt us, why do we reject the call to repent ourselves?

"Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?" —Romans 2:4

There will be seasons when Jesus doesn't do what you expected. When the path is harder than you thought. When you can't make sense of what He's doing.

In those moments, don't let what you don't understand about Jesus erase what you already know about Him.

He's still good. He's still faithful. He's still worthy of your trust.

Maybe Jesus hasn't answered a prayer the way you wanted. Maybe following Him has been harder than you thought. Maybe there are things about God you simply can't explain.

Here's the thing: He's bigger than you. You can't explain every part of Him. And that's okay.

Don't build your faith on what you expected Jesus to do. Build your faith on who He's revealed Himself to be.
