Abington Township Environmental Advisory Council Help Abington Go Green! We need you to join the volunteers of the Abington Township EAC! at the Abington Township Building or via zoom webinar.

The EAC is appointed by the Abington Township Board of Commissioners to serve as policy advisors and lead residents, businesses, schools, and other local institutions or organizations to provide a healthy, efficient and sustainable environment. Join us at our public meetings every second Wednesday each month at 7:30 p.m. Initiatives include renewable energy efficiency, affordable rain barrels, wat

ershed and stream protection, open space preservation, climate action, and educational workshops. Customers wishing to participate in the Standard Offer Program can enroll by phone or by a self-service option on PECO.com.

The Standard Offer includes a fixed-rate price, 7 percent below the electric utility’s current Price to Compare (the price the utility pays for electricity), for a term of one-year with no cancellation or termination fees. A Standard Offer Customer can cancel the agreement at any time.

Our "Anything with a Plug" electronics collection is Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 9 AM to 12 PM at the Public Works Yard. Pre-registration is recommended at https://tinyurl.com/4wscyucd. Abington Township residents only.

PECO will cover the $10 recycling fee per unit for any room air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and mini fridges. Please bring your PECO account number.
