In between the rain, we've been busy! We did an assessment/cleanup, and counted 478 tires within 4.5 miles of a float! We also found a couple dumpsites and got them cleaned up. Removing a total of 60 tires and 980lbs of trash.

We assisted Clinch Valley Soil and Water Conservation District on an island cleanup as well!

New week, more tires! Over the past week, we removed 85 more tires and 180lbs of trash. Bringing our new totals to 222 tires weighing 5,140 lbs and 1,520 lbs of trash and litter removed from the Scott County section of the Clinch!

Happy Labor Day!! In addition to our field trip to the Tug Fork, we were able to get some good work in on the Clinch last week by removing 55 tires weighing 1,420 lbs and 380 lbs of trash. Bringing our new totals to 137 tires weighing 3,400 lbs and 1,340 lbs of trash.

We still have some bigger tires that are not in the count. We have to cut them into quarters in order to recycle them.

Thank you to all of our supporters, followers, and sponsors. We couldn't do this important work without you!

Today we took a field trip to help with the Tire Tug of War on the Tug Fork River. Our current crew and two Sweepers from last year's crew, volunteered and helped remove 363 tires! Thank you to everyone involved with these clean ups. Together, we can restore our streams and have a cleaner future!
