And that's a wrap for another successful year of our Backpack feeding program. Throughout the school year we supported 32 students at Greendale Elementary for 36 weeks of meals, packing 198 bags of food per bi monthly session.

Due to your support Abingdon Rotary and our fundraising endeavors, and a little elbow grease by our club members, no child was hungry over the weekend for an entire school year.

March Gladness: 100 Free Throws for Special Olympics 2026 the 3rd annual edition was noting but big smiles. Being able to partner with Emory & Henry men's and women's basketball teams and coaches, E&H students in Health & Human Performance class led by Professor Beverly Sheddan to provide this afternoon of basketball for our area Special Olympians is one of the highlights of the year for our club.
We are still accepting donations so that these athletes and their families have the financial support to attend competitions outside our area. All money donated stays here with Special Olympics SWVA Area 10 . To contribute, send a check to Abingdon Rotary Foundation, P.O. Box 485, Abingdon, VA 24212 (memo line Special Olympics)

Rotary + Isaiah 117 House working together to make life better in our community. Today Rotary Clubs of Abingdon, Washington County, and Marion helped empty two storage units chock full of totes, haul those totes to the new Isaiah 117 House, unload the totes into the house, and then begin unpacking and organizing the contents. Totes full of new clothes, totes full of hygiene items, totes, totes, and more totes., all full of items for the Giving Room. Yes, Rotary + Isaiah 117 House doing good things.
