EO and Southern Appalachian Dance Academy are happy to announce a new internship opportunity for local high schoolers! The intern will learn the ins and outs of operating a small arts business. Not only will the intern have the chance to see professional level dance classes and rehearsals, they will also learn arts administration skills and educational strategies. The internship is paid and takes place on-site at Southern Appalachian Dance Academy.

Interested in history, music, museums, or community events? The Museum Intern will gain hands-on experience working alongside museum professionals to help develop exhibits, care for collections, support educational programs, assist with special events, and create engaging content. Career Commons is officially back, and opening day meant a new first for us.

Students from Damascus Middle School and Norton Elementary/Middle School were the very first to explore our new Veterinary Science experience from the Virginia Tech Southwest Center!

From construction to hands-on exploration, it's been exciting to see this new experience come to life and become part of Career Commons.
