Are you interested in being a part of the Abilene Young Professional's Steering Committee?
The Abilene Young Professional (AYP) steering committee is comprised of volunteers who are the decision makers and ambassadors for the AYP program. Board members serve one three-year term and meet monthly.
Benefits include:
• Gaining invaluable team-building experience and developing leadership skills for future professional roles.
• Setting direction for programming and future vision including input on events, marketing and public relations.
• Gaining personal and business relationships through close interactions with fellow steering committee members, AYP members, and Chamber personnel.

What's new this year?

1. Historically, Intern ABI consisted of several events spread throughout the summer.
2. For Summer 2026, we’re bringing those experiences together into a dedicated Intern ABI Week to create a more impactful and engaging experience.
3. Interns will have opportunities to develop professionally, connect with local business leaders, network with peers from other organizations, and learn more about the Abilene community.
4. Participating organizations can provide a valuable development opportunity for their interns while helping showcase the incredible talent being cultivated across our city.
